Piedmont Integrated Health
Physicians, in collaboration with Randolph Health, have developed a physician-led clinical integration program called Piedmont Integrated Health. In its most basic structure, a clinical integration program, like Piedmont Integrated Health, is composed of a network of physicians, most often working in collaboration with a hospital.
This network establishes a quality program composed of clinical initiatives, developed and managed by physicians, to improve the quality and efficiency of patient care and is supported by a management infrastructure. When developed in compliance with Federal Trade Commission guidelines, a clinical integration program, like Piedmont Integrated Health, provides independent physicians with a legal basis for collective negotiation of fee-for-service payer contracts and enhanced reimbursement based on improved clinical outcomes and efficiencies.
